![]() ![]() If you wish to argue that it is stupid to play craps for comps, please do so on my other thread in the Las Vegas Lifestyle forum.Ĭasinos have caught on to hedging and they dont credit you for the bets. It is a price I would gladly pay if the bets can significantly reduce variance while increasing the comps value of my play. I am very aware that every "hedging" bet I make (other than betting the odds) will increase my expected loss. Is there a way to combine these bets to reduce variance without incurring the disapproval of the casino staff who rate my play? I have learned that the lowest house edge bets (aside from odds bets that have no house edge) are the Pass, Don't Pass, Come and Place bets on 6 and 8. Since my primary goal is to earn comp credit without big bankroll swings, I am interested in strategies that may reduce variance without sacrificing much EV. ![]() As the thread turned toward discussion of strategy issues, however, I realize this is the more appropriate forum. I recently posted on the Las Vegas Lifestyle forum about my first experience playing craps for comps at Harrah's.
